Personal Statement My Son - 945 Words

Select two individuals from your immediate family who differ dramatically in age (e.g., a your own grandfather/mother and your own son/daughter). Within this particular question I have chosen to examine my son, who is fourteen years of age and just beginning his freshman year of high school. In addition, also to be examined will be my daughter, who is seventeen (17) years of age and is just beginning her freshman year of college. Upon examining my son he is a very carefree, smart, caring child; never asked for much nor to go many places, he is a golfer and plays for the high school golf team. From the time that he has been born he has been around law enforcement and has seen as well as been shown the difference between right and wrong; in addition he has seen the consequence as well as the aftermath of bad decisions of others. His academics are very good, he is the type of child that never brings home a book and always makes A’s with an occasional B. He shows no real interest in following in footsteps to be in law enforcement, which is a relief to me, in the current day and time and state of the world we live in. Older adults are a passion of my son, he feels connected to them and loves to help them and shows interest in their day to day actives, he makes sure they are checked up on and will always take any extra left over food we may have to them.
